This is #6 in a series of 12 prints created from original watercolors. The ideas for these prints came from the "nature" art of Kim Spinner-Herrera, who created hearts on the sidewalks of the La Mesa Village. After the riot in May of 2020, Kim used different found natural items like pine cones, stones, and fallen leaves to create these hearts. The hearts were a symbol of the strength and unity of our community pulling together after such a tragedy.
